I've posted several new videos, three in the 'chick-cake series' and one of us at Rice, the sushi restaurant here in Dover. All should be good for at least a chuckle, so be sure to check them out.
One of the things we as parents have tried to do is to introduce Trooper to as many different kinds of people, places, and foods as we can. Whether his tastes are a result of exposure or a natural predisposition, I can't say, but he loves seafood, sushi, steak, fufu, vegetables, chicken with bones in, custard pie (almost any kind of pie) and all kinds of things that many kids don't. This is great for him and even better for us.
This afternoon Trooper wanted to make cookies out of dough in the fridge (we bought it as a fund raiser, not really my thing) and I told him to have at it. I turned the oven on for him and he got out all the things he needed--cookie cooling rack, cookie sheet, spoon, cookie dough--and then he proceeded to eat about twice as much dough as he put on the sheet. His dad eventually stepped in to keep things a little more balanced. Trooper's not physically big enough to deal with the oven, yet, so we took care of that part for him, too.
Between a pleasant birthday, putting up this blog, and having a nice visit with family, it's been a pretty great week. Even if it did snow eight inches. I don't care what they said on the radio, it was eight inches.
