'I Got the Rhythm' by Connie Schofield-Morrison. The words were simplistic but we loved the artwork.
'Ten, Nine, Eight' by Molly Bang. You can never have too many counting books!
'Fall Leaves: Colorful and Crunchy' by Martha E.H. Rustad. An informative book on why leaves change color.
'If a Bus Could Talk: The Story of Rosa Parks' by Faith Ringgold. This book was too old for Trooper (4 years) but we simplified it for him.
'I'm Growing!' by Aliki. Great little story about a little boy growing out of his clothes. We read it several times.
'ABCers' by Carole Lexa Schaefer. We LOVED this book! The kids go around their park and see things that begin with the letters of the alphabet. Great pictures and a map at the end so you can see how it all fits together.
'Rain!' by Linda Ashman. A book about the ways people feel about rain.
'Starry Safari' by Linda/ Mack, Jeff (ILT). A fun story about a boy imagining himself on safari.
'"More, More, More," Said the Baby' by Vera B. Williams. This one was kind of strange but Trooper loves the part where the grandma tastes the baby's toes. He said, "Ew, yuck, she might get sick!"
